Child Safety Standards

Last updated: August 10, 2026

knoyu is operated by Flowstead LLC and is an adult service intended only for users 18 and older. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including any content that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits a minor. This page describes the standards we hold and how we act on them.

Our commitment

  • We prohibit CSAE of any kind, under any framing — there is no persona, roleplay, or “uncensored” mode that permits it.
  • knoyu is restricted to adults (18+); we do not knowingly allow minors to create accounts.
  • We detect and block attempts to generate or solicit sexual content involving minors, and we act on the accounts responsible.
  • We preserve the evidence the law requires and report apparent CSAE to the appropriate authorities.

How we prevent and detect it

Every message is screened by an automated safety classifier before a response is produced. Any content that sexualizes a minor is refused outright, the account is immediately suspended pending human review, and a safety record — including the triggering message — is preserved for reporting and law-enforcement requests. These records are retained even if the account is deleted.

Reporting

If you encounter content that involves a minor, report it in the app by tapping report under any knoyu reply and choosing “involves a minor / child safety.” Reports in this category are escalated for immediate review.

When we become aware of apparent child sexual abuse material or exploitation, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via the CyberTipline (in the US) and cooperate with law enforcement. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local authorities, or the NCMEC CyberTipline at 1-800-843-5678.
